There’s no place like home, as the saying goes - and it’s an expression that’s rung particularly true for a number of the Artisan Recruitment team over the years! As a company that strives to create a workplace that feels more like a family, we were thrilled to realise recently that over the past couple of years, we've had not one, not two, but SIX people return to the Artisan fold after spending some time working elsewhere: Jenna Lewis (National Operations Manager), Debbie Younger, Phil Hamond and Leisha Venables (Recruitment Consultants), Tara Broderick (Financial Administrator), and Mia Son (Office Manager).

We spoke to a number of these returning staff members about what made them want to return to the Artisan Recruitment team, and one very common theme emerged.

 "Coming back to Artisan was like coming home," said Jenna, "This is where I started my recruitment career so it felt right for me to begin my career as a leader here. We all laugh that my recruitment strategy is all about bringing past employees back but we've nailed it every single time. We're a family and the longevity of the team as well as the number of us that have come back speaks volumes about the internal culture that exists here."

Phil from our Brisbane office agrees with Jenna about the culture of the place: "We are family! Like minded people with the same end goal of having engaged and satisfied clients and candidates. Working on my own, I missed the sense of community that you have working for an open and creative organisation like Artisan".

While our Office Manager Mia Son first insisted that she returned to Artisan because "she couldn't let the team have mouldy cups" (bless her and her cleanliness!), she later confided that she "returned to Artisan for its sense of family - the culture here is very important to me and I missed it when I was away"

Debbie felt similarly, adding that  "having spent almost a decade at Artisan, after 3 years away, I knew this is where I was meant to continue my career as a senior creative recruiter within the Melbourne, Sydney and international markets. It’s great to be back working within a dedicated team of both familiar and new faces. As they say, there’s no place like home."

Indeed! And we couldn't be happier to have so many excellent members of the Artisan family rejoining the team.
